Schafmilchkäserei F. + F. Koster - Faltigberg - Schaf - Milch - Käse - Joghurt - Glace

The sheep milk cheese dairy F. + F. Koster is situated 900 m above sea level, directly next to the „Zürcher Höhenklinik” and above the small town Wald. The company has been founded in 1990 and in the following years has been continuously extended. In 1997, they renovated and further enlarged the cheese dairy.
At the present time, they process around 200‘000 kg sheep milk from different areas in Switzerland and 30‘000 kg organic cow milk from a nearby farm. The milk is produced in the biological and conventional way and partly also separately processed.
The products are distributed to consumers through wholesalers, cheese retailers, the marketing organization „NATÜRLI“ and some direct sale. The dairy is managed by a married couple (both plant managers) and their two grown-up daughters, who also work for the company. Beside the cheese dairy, they concentrate on the breeding and husbandry of Jersey cows.
